Backstage at the Newport Folk Festival, a young guy with a garbage bag full of cans, a funny mustache and a seemingly unpronounceable last name hands me a CD. Jeff Prystowsky says that in addition to the volunteer recycling crew, he’s in a band, then smiles and walks away. Exhausted, driving home on an empty road along the famous Newport beaches, I pop it in the player on a whim.
